Welcome

Hi there, my name is Braden. By day (sometimes, nights) I work as a computational design engineer. That title is just jargon for saying I am a really technical kind of person.

I code, read and manage other software programs for a living. And I really like it. But as I progress through my career and life in general, I find myself wanting to get better at the human side of things too.

Things like managing relationships, being vulnerable with people, learning how to communicate my work effectively are all interesting to me. Despite writing about computational design on my other newsletter, maintaining Scripository, and having an active LinkedIn profile, I've never found a place to express my thoughts about the messy, emotional aspects of life.

That's why I started this Substack, a no-commitment public journal for my thoughts. My reason is honestly a selfish one. I'm not aiming to explicitly provide value like my other efforts. This space is just for me to share my experiences publicly. If someone reads it, relates to it, and finds that I've helped articulate some fuzzy thought they've had, that would be a wonderful bonus.

I want to share my experience going through life and take you along for the experience. It's also a chance for me to practice telling my story to others, stories that get lost in the hum drum of life.

Thank you for going through this and spending the time with me.
